Bridgestone Blizzak 6 Voluntary Recall

Bridgestone Americas and Bridgestone Canada (Bridgestone) are collectively issuing a voluntary recall on 115 Bridgestone Blizzak 6 tires that are missing the Department of Transportation (DOT) sidewall marking and are not compliant with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 139. The tires were produced at the Bridgestone Tatabanya, Hungary manufacturing facility and were incorrectly shipped to North America without the “DOT” marking. While the tires meet other federal safety requirements, they are not approved for use on US and Canadian highways without the “DOT” certification. Customers with the affected tires should contact their local Bridgestone dealer to exchange for the correct and DOT-certified product, Bridgestone Blizzak LM005.
