Employees from the Bridgestone Bandag Griffin Plant were inspired to take action when Hurricane Florence hit the Carolinas last month. Leading the efforts to collect supplies for victims were Trudy Strickland and Danny Smith who were concerned about employees in Oxford, North Carolina, and Wilson, North Carolina, and wanted to do something to help. Employees made four trips to their local police department with donations from plant employees which were then delivered to North Carolina.
